The mobile claims specialist team hit a major milestone this year, reaching an impressive 70,000 face-to-face visits!

The milestone visit was completed by Simmone Watts, who lives in and supports customers across the Limestone Coast region, about four hours south-east of Adelaide.

Simmone was attending an appointment with injured worker Adrian and his GP in September 2025. The appointment was significant for Adrian too, with his doctor giving him clearance to return to his full pre-injury duties.

Adrian, a truck driver in his mid-50s, was injured after tripping and falling while working for a small company that collected dairy waste. The fall caused a shoulder tear and bursitis, requiring surgery.

As the main income earner for his household, Adrian was highly motivated to return to work, committing fully to his rehabilitation program.

I’ve never felt anything like that pain before. It was hard to slow down and be reliant on others, especially when I couldn’t drive for months. I’ve always been fit and active.”

Adrian’s employer was supportive throughout his recovery, helping him return initially on modified duties. Nearly a year after his injury, he successfully resumed full duties.

He says the support he received made a significant difference. “I can’t speak highly enough of the support I got – it’s been amazing. I’m very happy. Without EML, I don’t know what I would have done to recover.”

Adrian credits Simmone for removing barriers and making the process as smooth as possible. “Simmone had everything fast-tracked. It was just awesome. She organised it so I could fly to Adelaide and back for surgery instead of sitting in a car for hours. If I had any issues or problems, I knew she was there for me.”

Simmone believes in giving people clear, accessible information to help them make informed decisions about their recovery. “It’s important to build relationships and treat people as a whole person, not just an injury,” she says.

Asked what advice he’d give others recovering from a major injury, Adrian offers simple guidance: “Know that you have support around you and trust in the process. But you have to do the work and put the effort in.”
