Not one… not two… but three wins for EML at the 2025 PIEF Excellence in Personal Injury and Disability Management Awards!

On Monday 27 October, we celebrated the incredible achievements across the personal injury industry at the Personal Injury Education Foundation 2025 Excellence in Personal Injury & Disability Management Awards. This recognition is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and leadership shown by our people in helping people get their lives back.
 
Congratulations to our outstanding winners:

John Walsh Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual – Mark Coyne

This award honours the significant and long-term impact by an individual in realising meaningful and sustained improved outcomes in injury and disability management. With over 22 years in the personal injury sector, including a decade as EML’s CEO, Mark has made a lasting impact on both our business and the broader industry. 

Outstanding Leadership – Matthew Vickers, General Manager, SME & Specialty

Matthew Vickers, General Manager, SME and Specialty has been named a deserving winner of the Outstanding Leadership award. This award recognises Matthew’s contribution and effort over 25 years in the industry, and his unwavering commitment to EML, the industry and to injured workers in NSW.
 
Special congratulations to Laura Martin, Manager – Program & Change who was also nominated in the Outstanding Leadership category.

Excellence in Mental Health & Psychological Wellbeing – Mental Health White Paper Project Team

The Mental Health White Paper Project Team was named the winner of the award for Excellence in Mental Health & Psychological Wellbeing. This award recognises the efforts of the project team and EML’s commitment to developing initiatives which support and build psychologically safe and healthy workplaces. 
 

Innovation in Injury and Disability Management – Recovery Pathways Team (NSW NI)

Our Recovery Pathways Team received a judge’s commendation in the category of Innovation in Injury and Disability Management. This team is making a real difference in workplaces across NSW by helping workers access treatment earlier and supporting conflict resolution with stakeholders involved in a claim. 
 
We’re incredibly proud of the impact these individuals and teams have made to our industry. Their work reflects the very best of what we stand for and our relentless focus on supporting recovery and creating safer Australian workplaces.
 
A big congratulations to all the other winners and finalists, and thank you to PIEF for hosting such a fantastic conference and awards night.
