EML Secures ACT Government Contract Renewal Through to 2037

EML has been reappointed as the ACT Government’s dedicated claims administration partner, extending a long-standing collaboration focused on delivering strong outcomes for ACT Public Service workers.

Since 2019, EML has partnered with the ACT Government to build and mature a person-centric, data-driven self-insurance model. This collaboration has delivered strong, measurable outcomes, and supporting over a thousand of injured employees in their return to work.

The renewed agreement reflects the strength of this partnership and EML’s deep understanding of the claims portfolio, alongside a shared commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Susie Walford, General Manager, Federal Self Insurance, EML, said the renewal reinforces the value of a long-term, collaborative approach.

This outcome reflects the strength of our partnership with the ACT Government and our shared focus on delivering better outcomes for workers. Together, we’ve built a model that is not only delivering strong scheme performance today but is positioned to evolve with the changing needs of the workforce.

As claim complexity continues to rise, particularly in psychological injury, EML will continue to invest in technical expertise and capability to support a modern workforce. The renewed contract also embeds a strengthened performance framework, aligned to the ongoing evolution of the self- insurance model.

Looking ahead, EML and the ACT Government will continue to work together to enhance service delivery, drive innovation and deliver sustainable outcomes for employees.
