The icare NSW Case Management Awards celebrate the dedication, professionalism and impact of our people, recognising the meaningful difference they make to the employers and workers we support every day.
We are proud to share that two EML team members and one team have been named winners in the 2026 Awards. In addition, three of our longstanding team members were recognised for their individual impact of thirty years of industry service.
The winners were announced on Friday, 22 May, with EML proudly recognised across two categories.
Celebrating our award winners
Kate W and Nicholas A were both awarded Excellence in Claims Responsiveness, reflecting their commitment to delivering timely, high-quality support to injured workers and employers.

Our Complex Medical Team received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Scheme Performance by a Team, recognising their collaborative approach and impact on complex claims outcomes.
''It is an honour to be recognised among our peers. We are privileged to support severely injured workers whose resilience drives our purpose each day. We are a small and niche team, who take pride in working closely together and supporting all stakeholders through the sensitivity and challenges of severe workplace injury.''

We’re proud to share that five EML team members and two teams have been named finalists in the 2026 Awards.

Kelly G
A finalist in the Excellence in Case Management (Physical) category, Kelly is recognised for her compassionate advocacy and deep understanding of complex injuries.
She supported Robert ‘Bob’ Konrad through an extremely challenging period, following a life‑changing amputation and ongoing medical complications. Through honest guidance and care, Kelly helped him navigate the complexities of workers compensation, restoring trust and supporting his path to greater independence.

Kate W
Kate manages the Worker with Highest Needs portfolio, supporting some of the NSW Scheme’s most complex and vulnerable workers. Known for her compassionate and personalised approach, she works closely with injured workers to navigate medical, logistical and emotional challenges with clarity and care.
She manages sensitive conversations, assesses complex treatment needs, and coordinates care. Through consistent communication, Kate ensures each worker feels supported and understood. Her commitment to responsive, person centred care has earned her recognition as a finalist for the Excellence in Claims Responsiveness award.
Jay S
A finalist in the Excellence in Service Delivery award, Jay is recognised for their proactive, empathetic and highly responsive approach to managing physical and psychological injury claims.
They have driven improved outcomes by introducing more timely, worker centred approaches to psychological claims, helping to reduce delays, strengthen trust and support earlier recovery.
Through their consistent focus on accessibility and care, they ensure people feel informed, supported and engaged at every stage of their recovery journey.
Complex Medical Team
Finalists for Outstanding Contribution to Scheme Performance by a Team, the Complex Medical Team brings together advanced clinical expertise with proactive, person centred coordination to support the most complex claims.
Through early risk identification, multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based planning, the team reduces fragmentation, strengthens decision making, and supports better recovery and return to work outcomes. Their approach builds confidence across workers, employers and stakeholders, while driving consistent, transparent claim resolution.
EML’s icare Insurance for NSW (Treasury Managed Fund) 2026 finalists
Nicholas A
A finalist in the Excellence in Claims Responsiveness category, Nicholas demonstrated exceptional professionalism, responsiveness and compassion while managing two of the most complex claims arising from the December 2025 Bondi attack involving critically injured NSW Police Officers.
A trusted, single point of contact for Officers, families and NSW Police, he mobilised urgent medical, financial and family support with clarity and speed. Nicholas’ calm judgement, transparent communication and sustained availability reduced hardship, built trust and supported early recovery during an intensely traumatic period.
Som B
Som, a finalist in the Outstanding New Starter category, has made an exceptional impact since joining EML in October 2025 with no prior personal injury experience. In a short time, he has delivered outstanding results through strong early intervention, sound decision‑making and proactive stakeholder engagement.
Som achieved 100% compliance and CSAT scores, strong return‑to‑work outcomes, and consistent positive feedback from various stakeholders. His initiative, professionalism and commitment to improvement has set a high benchmark for excellence in case management.
TMF Police and Emergency Services Leaders
Finalists in the Excellence in Agency Partnering category, TMF Police and Emergency Services Leaders Neven Y, Snezana L, Joyce S and Ariana O, demonstrated outstanding leadership and collaboration during the Bondi attack. Working in close partnership with NSW Police and NSW Ambulance, the team provided calm, decisive leadership, during an unprecedented critical incident.
By aligning wellbeing outreach, streamlining approvals, coordinating daily communication and activating the Frontline Family Support Program, the team reduced burden on Agencies while ensuring rapid support for affected workers and families.
Their shared coordinated leadership demonstrating a sustainable, trauma informed critical incident response model in challenging circumstances.
