Australian icon Woolworths and EML renew commitment to team members

National icon Woolworths has renewed the partnership with EML to manage its workers’ self-insured business, extending their existing partnership to 2023.

Woolworths’ Group and EML first partnered back in 2013, and have together helped several team members recover and return to work since then.

While self-insurance is not appropriate for all businesses, it does allow certain businesses to tailor and specialise their management of their workers’ compensation portfolios to improve their employee’s recovery and return to work outcomes and premium costs.

EML has more than a century of workers’ compensation claims management expertise. Other National Self-Insurance partners include iconic Australian companies such as BHP, George Weston Foods and Tomago Aluminium.

“We’re committed to helping people get their lives back and delighted to be able to continue to partner with Woolworths to achieve the best possible recovery and return to work outcomes for their team members.” EML CEO Mark Coyne said.

“We congratulate EML and look forward to continuing our partnership to provide our team members with the best care and recovery options” Kevin Figueiredo, General Manager Group Safety, Health and Wellbeing Woolworths Group said.
