  1. PTSD Expert Guidelines for Emergency Services workers

    The NSW Minister for Mental Health, the Hon. Rose Jackson and The NSW Minister for Emergency Services, The Hon. Jihad Dib – met with key industry leaders on 21st of March 2024 at -NSW Parliament House, to launch the updated Guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in emergency service workers.

  3. Employer Training Program, 2nd Quarter 2024, Bookings now open

    Enjoy our extensive range of face-to-face and virtual training courses designed to help employers to increase their understanding of workers compensation legislation, processes and procedures, minimise health and safety risks in their workplace (including psychosocial and mental health risks) and support outstanding return to work outcomes for injured workers.     Did you know that your employee who has a physical injury could be at risk of incurring a secondary mental injury? A secondary mental injury is a mental injury caused by the primary work-related physical injury and can be accepted under workers’ compensation legislation.

    In a significant milestone for EML, we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the RecoveryMate mobile app. Designed specifically for workers, this app aims to streamline and simplify the often complex workers' compensation process, making it more efficient and accessible. Launching in October, RecoveryMate will provide workers with device-based access to essential claims information and functionality, catering to various business units, including Hospitality Industry Insurance (HII), Federal Self Insurance (FSI), National Self Insurance (NSI), and Insurance for NSW (ifNSW).

  13. Little conversations make a big difference

    In her nomination, Nico’s colleagues commented on her empathy and her ability to work collaboratively to get the best outcome for workers. They noted that she steps up for any project to improve the service experience for customers. Nico volunteered to participate in a pilot aimed at improving communication with injured workers pre and post-surgery, ensuring they can access timely treatment and post op rehabilitation.

  25. Supporting workers as they transition from the scheme
