The RESPECT Manager Training Program was developed by the Black Dog Institute in close collaboration with Fire & Rescue NSW. It combines mental health training with practical advice about how to help those who may be suffering with impaired mental health.

RESPECT was delivered as a controlled trial and more than 120 managers attended 4-hours of face-to-face training. Evaluated by UNSW, the program delivered significant improvement in work-related sick leave, and a return on investment of $13.00 for every dollar spent on training.
