Mark Coyne
CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Mark commenced as the Chief Executive in January 2012, after joining EML in 2010.

With over 20 years’ experience in the workers compensation sector, in both strategic and operational roles, Mark has previously held the position of Chief Executive/Managing Director of Coal Services Pty Ltd, a specialist workers compensation insurance scheme for the coal mining industry.

Between 2003 and 2009 Mark held various positions within GIO, culminating in his appointment in 2007 as Executive General Manager of their national workers compensation claims business.

Prior to his career in insurance and workers compensation, Mark achieved success as a professional rugby league player with St George, Queensland and Australia.

Mark was a Director of Police and Citizens Youth Club for 10 years and a Director of the NRMA Road Service between 2000-2003.

 

Gerard McDermott
GROUP EXECUTIVE - MANAGED FUNDS

Gerard commenced with EML in August 2016, appointed Group Executive of Managed Funds.

Gerard joined EML following an extensive career in the Australian insurance and retail banking industry, previously holding roles at Westpac BT, Suncorp and St George Bank.

Gerard oversees EML’s Managed Funds comprising icare workers insurance and icare self insurance in NSW, WorkSafe Victoria and ReturntoWorkSA.

 

Tracey Harris
GROUP EXECUTIVE – CORPORATE SERVICES

Since joining EML in October 2016, Tracey has held the position of Group Executive Corporate Services.

With over 20 years’ experience, Tracey has held previous leadership roles at CoverMore and CareFlight Group.

Tracey oversees the corporate services teams across EML nationally including Group Finance, Transformation, People & Culture, Portfolio Improvement, Offshore Operations and Facilities Management.

 

David Fryar
GROUP EXECUTIVE, NEW MARKETS

David was appointed to the role of Group Executive, New Markets in July 2015, having previously held the roles of General Manager, Managed Funds and General Manager, Strategy.

With over 20 years’ experience in the insurance sector in both strategic and operational roles, David has extensive workers compensation leadership experience including State Manager and Portfolio Management positions at CGU , GIO and Suncorp.

David is a current Board of Management member for Link Community Transport, a non-profit community based transport support provider in Victoria and is on the Board of Directors of the Personal Injury Education Foundation (PIEF).

 

Matthew Vickers
GENERAL MANAGER, WORKERS INSURANCE NSW

Matt was appointed to the role of General Manager, Workers Insurance NSW in October 2016, having previously held the role of Performance Implementation Manager.

Matt oversees the Workers Insurance NSW operations managing teams across EML’s four NSW offices.

Prior to joining EML, Matt held leadership positions at Coal Services, icare and Suncorp.

 

Declan Collins
GENERAL MANAGER, VICTORIA

Declan was appointed to the role of General Manager, Victoria in April 2016, having previously  held the roles of Group Executive, Managed Funds and General Manager, SA.

Declan joined EML from WorkSafe Victoria, where he held several senior roles including Director - Entitlements, Senior Prosecutor, Manager - Compliance and Investigations Branch, Manager - Agent Contract and Audit Team.

Prior to this, Declan was engaged as a lawyer for TAC LAW Pty Ltd and also served as a Sworn Police Member of the Victoria Police between 1994 and 2004.

Declan is a qualified barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, as well as a member of the Law Institute of Victoria. He is a former Director of the Northern Support Services for people with a disability.

 

Adam Keogh
GENERAL MANAGER, TMF OPERATIONS

Adam was appointed to the position of General Manager, TMF Operations in August 2017.

Adam has enjoyed a successful career with EML spanning over 10 years, with a superior track record leading teams to deliver strong results within both Corporate Services and Claims businesses. Prior to his appointment, Adam lead the Metropolitan Claims Operations in the Workers Insurance NSW business unit.

Adam leads a team who support positive recovery outcomes for employees of key government agencies in NSW, to help them get their lives back following a workplace injury.

 

Jared Simes
GENERAL MANAGER, SOUTH AUSTRALIAN OPERATIONS

Jared was appointed to the role of General Manager, South Australian Operations in October 2015.

Jared has worked at EML since 2007 and has held a range of roles including Claims Operations Manager and Manager, Project Office.  2017 has seen EML’s South Australian operation successfully extend its commercial arrangement with RTWSA until 2022. Jared oversees the operations across South Australia including a team of mobile claims specialists, providing personalised face to face service and early intervention to metropolitan and regional customers.

 

Matt Rodwell
GENERAL MANAGER, NATIONAL SELF-INSURANCE

Forming part of the initial NSI leadership team in 2013, Matt’s oversees a specialist team which provides end-to-end claims management services for self-insurance clients, supporting some of Australia’s largest employers.

 

Tamara Sprod
GENERAL MANAGER, TRANSFORMATION

Tamara was appointed to the role of General Manager, Transformation in early 2016. Tamara oversees EML’s enterprise-wide change programs and business transformation activities focused on performance, service and innovation.

Prior to this role, Tamara was in the role of General Manager, TMF (now icare TMF) from 2009. Having worked in the TMF Operations since EML commenced its contract with the NSW Government in 2005, Tamara successfully tendered for the expansion of this contract, currently awarded to EML until 2017.

In 2009 Tamara was awarded the prestigious Young Manager of the Year award by the Australian Institute of Management.

 

Rod McInnes
GENERAL MANAGER, PORTFOLIO IMPROVEMENT

Rod was appointed to the role of General Manager, Portfolio Improvement in December 2013, having previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer.

With over 20 years’ senior management experience within the NSW Scheme, Rod’s prior service include senior positions at Finity Consulting, NSW Treasury and WorkCover NSW (now icare).

 

Joanne Zarb
GENERAL MANAGER, PEOPLE & CULTURE

Since joining EML in 2004, Jo has held numerous leadership roles within EML most recently leading EML’s National Self Insurance division.

Jo has over 24 years’ experience working in various roles in Personal Injury insurance, predominantly in workers compensation claims and client services.

 

Matthew Wilson
CHIEF RISK OFFICER

Matthew has held the position of Chief Risk Officer since joining EML in November 2006.

Matthew is a corporate lawyer and professional adviser in the fields of risk management, regulatory compliance and corporate governance practice in the Australian financial services sector.

 

Adrian Diggelmann
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Adrian Diggelmann joined EML in February 2014, in position of Chief Financial Officer.

A finance executive with over 20 years' experience in senior finance and governance roles, Adrian has performed numerous roles within the financial services industry including ASX listed entities.

Prior to his commencement with EML, Adrian was a Principal Consultant with Ravenswood Consulting, and has also served as CFO for Calliden Group Limited and numerous leadership roles within MLC Limited and GIO.
